Tashkent University of Technology (ToshTech) is a newly established, internationally oriented technical university in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, offering engineering education in partnership with leading international institutions. The University invites applications from qualified candidates for the following full-time faculty position.
Position Summary
The successful candidate will deliver Calculus I to first-year engineering students, covering limits, differentiation, and introductory integration, with an emphasis on applications to engineering problems. The position also includes course preparation, student mentoring, assessment, and participation in departmental and university activities.
Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, or a related discipline
- Demonstrated experience teaching single-variable calculus
- Familiarity with outcome-based engineering education is a plus
Responsibilities
- Deliver lectures, seminars, and/or laboratory sessions as required by the course
- Develop syllabi, assessments, and course materials aligned with program learning outcomes
- Advise and mentor students; hold regular office hours
- Engage in curriculum development, departmental service, and continuous improvement of teaching quality
- Contribute to the University's research and academic community where applicable
