Merch Store Attendant

CENTRAL ASIAN UNIVERSITY is looking for an energetic, customer-oriented, and proactive Merch Store Attendant to join our team. Responsibilities:

• Serve customers and process sales transactions;
• Receive, organize, and display merchandise;
•Maintain cleanliness and order in the store;
• Manage daily cash handling, reconcile sales at end of each working day, and submit daily reports to management;
• Conduct stock counts and assist with inventory management;
• Actively collect customer feedback and track visitor interests and requests;
• Proactively suggest new products and merchandise ideas based on customer demand;
• Stay creative and continuously look for ways to improve the store assortment and customer experience.

Education

• Secondary education or above. Higher education is preferred but not required.

Work Experience

• No prior experience required. Experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred and will be given priority.

Hard Skills

• Proficiency in Russian, Uzbek, and English (all three languages required);
• Basic numeracy and cash handling skills;
• Ability to maintain daily sales records and prepare end-of-day financial reports;
• Basic computer literacy (for reporting and communication).

Desirable Criteria

• Prior experience in retail or university store environment;
• Interest in university merchandise, branding, or student culture;
• Higher education degree or currently enrolled student.

• Work schedule: 5/7, from 9:00 to 18:00.
