Audit Director

KPMG Uzbekistan is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Audit Director to join our audit practice in Tashkent. This leadership position offers the opportunity to manage complex audit projects, lead high-performing teams, drive business growth, and build long-term relationships with key clients across various industries.

The successful candidate will play a critical role in shaping the firm's audit strategy, maintaining the highest quality standards, and contributing to the development of our people and services.

Primary Responsibilities
-Lead and oversee large and complex audit projects in accordance with International Standards on Auditing (ISAs) and KPMG methodologies.
-Ensure high quality audit services and compliance with professional and regulatory requirements.
-Build, develop, and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients.
-Identify business opportunities and facilitate the growth of the audit practice.
Participate in the development of new services and market initiatives.

-Providing strategic support to audit teams and clients on accounting and auditing matters.
-Review of financial statements prepared in accordance with IFRS and other applicable reporting frameworks.
-Managing audit economics, budgeting, and resource allocation.
-Leading, mentoring, and developing managers and audit professionals, creating a culture of high quality and continuous learning.
-Representing the firm's interests in interactions with regulators, professional organizations, and high-level client stakeholders.
-Implementing innovations and new technologies and data analytics tools in audit activities.
Requirements
Professional Qualifications

-University degree in accounting, finance, economics, or a related field.
-Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CPA, CA, or equivalent.
-Minimum 10 years of experience in external audit, including significant experience in leadership positions.
-Strong knowledge of IFRS and International Standards on Auditing (ISAs).
-Proven experience managing large and complex audit engagements.
-Experience working with multinational companies and conducting group audits is highly desirable.
-Experience auditing public interest entities listed on stock exchanges, as well as capital markets transactions (IPO support, public listings of debt and equity instruments, prospectus reviews, and issuance of comfort letters).
