Key Responsibilities

1. Contract Lifecycle Management

- Draft, review, and revise construction machinery sales contracts, distribution agreements, financial lease contracts, service agreements, procurement contracts, non-disclosure agreements, and other commercial documents.
- Follow up on contract signing, performance, and filing.
- Monitor contractual obligations and identify potential legal risks.

2. Regional Legal Compliance Control

- Monitor civil and commercial laws, labor laws, taxation, customs, import and export regulations, and foreign investment regulations in Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan.
- Conduct compliance self-inspections, identify potential risks, prepare risk alerts and corrective action plans.
- Organize business compliance training and support the implementation of compliance requirements.

3. Dispute Prevention and Resolution

- Handle legal matters involving payment collection, equipment quality disputes, dealer breaches of contract, labor disputes, and other business-related disputes.
- Coordinate with local lawyers and notaries.
- Participate in negotiations, settlements, arbitration, and litigation-related preparations.

4. Labor Compliance Support

- Cooperate with the HR department to review local employee employment contracts, internal policies, dismissal documents, settlement agreements, and other HR-related legal documents.
- Identify and assess employment compliance risks, including labor disputes, disciplinary matters, and employee turnover.
- Provide legal recommendations to support compliance with applicable labor legislation.

5. Business and Transactional Legal Support

- Provide legal support for dealer onboarding and qualification, major project tenders, business negotiations, and overseas greenfield projects.
- Issue legal opinions on transaction structures, guarantee arrangements, and refund risk control.
- Identify legal risks and provide practical recommendations to support business decisions.

6. Intellectual Property and Brand Risk Control

- Support the protection of trademarks, trade secrets, and other intellectual property rights.
- Investigate potential infringement risks and recommend appropriate preventive measures.
- Handle business-related administrative penalties and regulatory inquiries.

7. Legal Documentation and Reporting

- Establish and maintain a legal document database and case database.
- Organize and maintain legal records and relevant documentation.
- Prepare and regularly issue regional legal briefings covering relevant legislative updates, compliance developments, and legal risks in Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree or above in Law.
- 3–5 years of relevant legal work experience.
- Good command of English, Russian, and Uzbek or another relevant local language.
- Chinese language skills will be considered an advantage.
- Knowledge of Uzbekistan's legislation and the ability to research legal requirements in Kazakhstan.
- Experience in contract drafting and review, commercial law, labor law, or corporate legal support.
- Strong analytical, communication, negotiation, and document-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
